Not to be confused with our German Chocolate Pecan Pound Cake, which has no coconut and includes actual Baker’s German Sweet Chocolate, this is KISS’D Bakery’s twist on the classic Southern dessert we all associate with the infamous coconut-pecan custard frosting: German Chocolate Pound Cake. This cake combines the rich, buttery texture of a traditional pound cake with the deep, complex flavors of bittersweet chocolate, a signature characteristic of German chocolate desserts. The cake promises a tender, moist crumb, while 4 ounces of bittersweet baking chocolate are added to the batter for an intense cocoa flavor. The KISS’D Bakery twist is in classic coconut-pecan frosting - we don't make the traditional custard, although we will by request. We toast the coconuts and pecans and drizzle melted chocolate over the top.
